A fertile valley near a forest were discovered only ten years ago by humans. The land prooved to be perfect for crops and animals alike. The forest also proved to be a source of income as there was so much of it, a loggin company moved in. The population boomed and although it's not a huge city, it's still having an affect on the wildlife. Elk and Whitetail Deer that once used the valley as a spring and summer feeding ground now rarely made an appearance. But the wolf pack seems to be the most effected. The large pack had been thriving for years, making the forest their main home with visits to the valley for food. Within a couple years of the arival of humans, their numbers began to dwindle. Slowly at first, but now that it's been legal to hunt them without tags, their numbers were dropping dramatically.

In an attempt of survival, the wolves moved further into the forest until they met with the moutains. It was enough for awhile, but they were tracked there and had to run for the only place available. Only a quarter or less of their numbers remained when they came upon a new area. The deer and elk had moved here, and there was plenty of room for them too. Humans seem to be unable to get to the area, which made it perfect to try and build up their numbers again.

So, if you're wonder the point of this rp, its basic. Its survival. Rules, read 'em, know 'em, understand 'em, and definately fallow 'em. Get it?Got it? Oh good.

Rules-
1. Don't godmode. You can be bossy, speacially if you're an alpha, but don't push it.
2. Keep cussing to a minimal.
3. I know how pups are created, so does everyone else. Keep it out of the main rp, make a seperate page if you really want to.

Here are some guide lines.
The rping will be done in the comment boxes, I'll specify where.
Now, I know different people have different ways of role playing.
You may use theese examples-
*s to signify action, as well as ()s. Nothing for talking(example:*walks over to nushi*Why are you here?)
" "s to signify talking, and nothing for action (example: Hera walked over to her young pup,"WHere have you been?")

((Old packs and such can be found at: The Old Black lake))

Ok, so, let's talk ranks. It's structured a little bit like a normal wolf pack, with a few modifications(This is to make the rp seem a little more fair, blah, blah, blah). Hopefully the basic outline below will be helpful and understandable.

Alpha Male and Female: The leaders, their word is law, confident wolves and always looking to do things that are best for the pack. They are the ones to mainly have pups.

Beta Male and Female: Second only to the alpha's they make sure everyone is doing as they're told and being respectful. Also, they watch the alpha's pups the most. They also may have pups, but they have fewer litters then the alpha's.

Hunters and Protectors: Both male and female, they're highly respected in the pack, but are typically faithful to the alpha's so they don't try to dislodge them and take the power for themselves. Often they enjoy either hunting or making sure their borders are safe that they don't want the responsibility the alpha's have. Very rarely do they have pups of their own, but it happens(Specially now that they need to build their numbers again).

Elders: Both male and female, they're the oldest of the pack, unable to do much except help watch the pups and tell them stories. They're typically quiet, but every wolf(even the alpha's) listen to them if they feel something is out of place or something needs to be done.

Omegas: The weaker ones of the pack, they aren't really respected and sometimes only stay within the pack because they're the litter mate of one of the stronger wolves. They often eat last, therefore the least. Skiddish by nature or just generally sick.

Ofcourse there are pups, but their ranking depends on who their parents are and what their personality is.

Hope this isn't all that confusing... I know not everyone's mind works quite like mine(Which is fine... it'd be scarey if anyone else had my mind).
